Hello world, I'm back. Back from a long, not-so-fun bloggy break. The stomache flu officially hit our house hard last week, and I was the last to receive the special gift, and my stomache is just now returning somewhat normal where I feel human again. Ah yes, what fun. It hit Jer last Monday afternoon/evening, and went thru the kids somewhat throughout the week (they didn't have it nearly as bad as Jer and I did- thankfully), then it hit me Wed night into Thursday.
It was really weird, my sister-in-law Jen, and her family got hit with it the exact same time, and their whole family was practically out of commission all week, just as ours was. And I've heard of several other families being hit with it. Ah yes, flu season. Thanks a lot flu shot, you did me no good this time :-(
In other news.........Happy {one-day-late} Valentines Day!!!!! Hope you all spent a wonderful weekend with your special loved ones and told that someone special how much you love them!! :-) Jer and I had a good Valentines weekend, despite the sickness.
On Wednesday, (before I got sick), I was getting ready for our big Valentine party in Prims class that night. Made lots of yummy cupcakes to share, and we had a great turnout, and everyone brought some yummy red and/or pink goodie to share. :-)
Lilly has been so excited about wearing her new valentine shirt that her Aunt Jen bought for her. Despite the very short sleeves, and the freezing temps, I let her wear it to school on Wednesday for her Valentine party at school, and again that night for their party in Rainbows. She had a great Valentines day and got lots of cards and goodies from her friends.
Isaiah had his party at school on Thursday. I was planning on going to it with him, but ended up being sicker than sick, so Jer (my knight in shining armour :) ) came to my rescue and got up and got the kiddos ready for school on Thursday, and took Isaiah for me. Then he went about 15-20 minutes early to pick him up and caught the end of his Valentine party.
On Friday night, Jer and I had planned on going out on a date, and my sister was going to watch the kids. Then we were going to return the favor Sat night when they went out. Friday during the day, the kids were at my sisters house when Isaiah was just coughing up a storm and would not quit, then threw up a couple times and ended up running a 101 fever. Yeah, the lovely flu was still showing it's ugly head at our house......it would not go away! So Jer went to get him and brought him back home. We gave him his breathing treatment and gave him his meds and laid him down for a nap. He seemed much better when he woke up. Long story short, we still went out on our date (I know....we're such bad parents), my parents watched him for us, and my sister watched Lilly, and we continued with our plans as normal (hey.....we had allready bought our non-refundable tickets to Cinema Suites theatre!)
We ended up seeing "Valentines Day" movie. It was average. And ate our dinner in the comfy suites while watching our movie. It was a first for us- and I think we shall have to go back in the near future! Here I am.....in all my glory....lol........relaxing. yes, this is where we ate and saw our movie......
Thank you my Jer bear for taking me out...........we had a great time! :-)

And now it is Monday again........Valentines day is over.........festivities and all the parties are over.... :-( But it is Presidents Day and the kiddos are out of school, so Jer got up with Isaiah when he awoke at 7:30, and he let me sleep til 9. And even had biscuits and gravy waiting for me on the stove when I awoke.
I guess Mondays aren't ALL that bad! ;-)
