feb/march pics

It's been a while. February seems to have went by in a big blur. And March is going even faster - if that's even possible. My to-do list and pictures to scrapbook and books to read is getting longer and longer, and my time seems to be getting shorter and shorter. Anyway, here is a glimpse from the past month - the kids' valentine pic (and Lilly's beautiful tattoo'ed face - ah, I'm so proud), and some pics from Isaiah's birthday party - he turned the big SIX on March 6th!

More on March birthdays to come! :)

halloween 2011

My nephews spent the night with us last Saturday night and we took them to our neighborhood "haunted trail" and went trick-or-treating. The kids loved dressing up, and lemme tell ya, they were the best looking kids down there! =)

Mario meets Dr Jonathan.....I'd recommend waiting until Jonathan finishes, oh, say, THIRD grade at least before you let him operate on ya!

the cutest lil ladybug around...... =) she did NOT like her hood up - too bad baby girl, that's what made the costume so freaking adorable, those little ladybug antennas! (which you can't even see in the picture!)

Introducing, Mario, Darth Vader, a ladybug, a Doctor and a Robot!

"trick or treat"!

Ladybug One meets Ladybug Two......

and what would a good ol' haunted trail be without a fun game of Angry Birds?!? lol

Tonight............we're trunk or treatin!

It's the end of an ERA!!!!!

Ok, well not really. But it sounded like a fun, dramatic title to this blog post ;-) Yesterday did mark the end of Isaiah's soccer games, and his first time at playing a community sport though. I think overall he did well. He learned a lot about soccer, having team mates and playing fair. Ha, well I don't know about the "fair" part, but he did learn a lot about soccer! He had 8 games this season and his last one was last Saturday. (in which I didn't get to go to though, because Gena's been sick! boo!) And last night, they had their end of the season pizza party up at Pizza Street.

The coach gave us the piece with Isaiah on it. Just what I've always wanted to do - bite my sons head off. =)

And after pizza and cake the coach (on the left) and the assist. coach (right) handed out pictures and trophys.

I've purposely waited on signing my kids up for sports or other activites, just because I was afraid we would turn in to that family that had a game or practice every night of the week, and no time for family. So yes, Isaiah is 5 1/2 and just playing his first sport. So sue me. On the way home from Pizza Street, Isaiah has allready informed me that next he wants to play baseball, and Lilly said she wants me to sign her up for soccer. Oh dear. What have I started???

We have a new soccer player in the house! Isaiah wanted to play soccer this year, so after putting it off for 5 years, we finally signed him up this fall. I tried to hold off doing much sports or extracurricular activities, until the last possible moment. Just cause I knew once that started, we would be running all over the place, for practices and games, a couple times a week - at least. But Isaiah has been ready for a while, and loves it when Jeremy goes out in the yard and plays soccer or baseball or anything with him. So I knew he was ready to do something. He's had 2 practices so far, and 1 game - in which his team won - but they don't keep score for this age group. =)

Isaiah was sooooo excited and telling everybody that he plays soccer now - he loves it. Below - at his first game - Gena was his biggest cheerleader!

He was constantly giving us, and other players the 'thumbs up' sign

I'm not ready to buy the "I'm a Soccer Mom" t-shirt and bumper sticker yet, but it's fun =)

Go Mighty Penguins!!!! ;)

May was a month of celebration......anniversary, mothers day, birthday, graduation and last days of school....

It started out with Jeremy & I celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary on May 5th. We spent a couple nights on the plaza {with a dozen red roses and 4 chocolate covered strawberries waiting for me in the room- pictured above :) } and a visit to the Dinner Theatre. We had an awesome time! We had dinner on the plaza at a delicious italitan restaurant {below}
