because some things are just too funny not to share...

We took the kids to the park a few days ago, just to kill some time before bedtime :) {because you know, once that clock hits 8:00, you bet your britches those munchkins are tucked in bed} lol

So we're just hanging out, having some fun, and Jer is playing with the kiddos. He puts Baby Girl up on his shoulders (which I have to admit, initially made me cringe - she's too little!). Kodak moment. I snapped this pic....

....and then proceeded to lean in to him to show him the pic on my camera, when Baby Girl had a
little upchucking session going on........I barely backed away in time and she then painted her daddy with some regurgetated breast milk! All over his hair, his ear, his shirt and down his pants.

So we made a little trip to the van to get some towels to clean him up with. Baby Girl is happy now though! :) Kinda grossed Jer out a little, but I gotta say, I was cracking up - poor Jer didn't get much sympathy from me ;)

And here is Jer re-enacting the event..... :)

But he still loves his Baby Girl anyways.........even if she does puke all over him.... :)

Monday again...

It's Monday. again. I saw a facebook status this morning that said "Is it too early to ask for the weekend?". I like that. I felt a lot like that today. Jer is out of town - he left last Thursday, the day after my birthday, and was suppose to come back tomorrow evening. Got a surprise call from him this afternoon, that he left early, and is heading back home tonight! yay!! That just made my Monday 110% better! It has been a loooooong 5 days without my Jer. Trying to juggle getting 3 kids fed, dressed and out the door by 8:30am is not much fun. But I did it!

And my sweet Jer, kept my birthday celebrations going, even from thousands of miles away. :) Each morning, I would wake up, to an email from him, telling me to look in a certain spot in the house (in some luggage in the attic, behind some papers under my desk, buried in a drawer in the kitchen, under some blankets in the cedar chest....) and there would be a card and a wrapped gift there for me. :) Did I marry a keeper, or what?! :) He has definately spoiled me this year on my birthday! (in a reply to one of his emails, I was thanking him, and telling him that this was fun - and could we continue this, even when he gets back in town?) lol, he didn't quite agree to it ;)

Anyways, yes, it is another Monday, but my Jer is coming home tonight, so I can't complain. :)

Happy Birthday to me!

I just love birthdays! Whether it's mine, Jeremy's, one of the kids', or a friend! Birthdays are fun! (never mind the whole 'getting older' part.....) Well yesterday was my birthday! Check out my gift........

Jer spoiled me with a ring and necklace (with all 3 of the kids' birthstones in it) and 30 beautiful roses, home made cards from the kids, a picture frame with all 3 kids' pictures in it, and dinner out at my favorite Italian place, Zio's! Plus, he asked his sister if she could watch Bubby today, and he gave me the "day off" today too! oh, and wrapped up some trail mix (my latest obsession!) for me to munch on today :-)

It has been a wonderful birthday. I am truly blessed and have such a great husband and kiddos. Maybe my 30's won't be so bad after all........ ;-)

It's a month of celebratin'!!!

I love the month of September! Bet ya can't guess why....?! ;-)

It's my birthday month, silly!! lol

And yes, I take after my mother, I celebrate my birthday for more than just one day. Lucky for my husband (lol) I like to celebrate at least for 2 weeks! And all the fun started this past weekend. :-)

My sister and brother in law watched the kids for us Friday night, so my hubby and I could go out (Olive Garden ba-by!!!!), and the 2 older ones stayed the night with their cousins that night. Jer and I had a great time (dinner sans kids!), then we went back to my sisters and reluctantly picked up Baby Girl. (she's still a wee bit attached to me) ;-)

Here are just some adorable pics my sis took of the kids Fri night........

Baby Girl is hamming it up! :-)

....and my 3 turkeys....

They kept the kids for us all day on Saturday. We didn't even miss them. We thought of them a few times. :-)
Then Saturday night, my awesome hubby arranged a sitter for our kids and my sisters kids, and we went out with my sister, brother in law and my parents to P.F. Changs on the plaza. It was so much fun and the food was delish!

Baby Girl was the only one allowed out with the "big people" that night :-)

my parents - aren't they just adorable?! i love this pic of them :-)

i love this one too.....PaPa is teaching Baby Girl at a young age how to use chop sticks!

the gangs all here!

After dinner, we came back home to some yummy DQ ice cream cake :-) And my hubby was kind enough not to make a 'black' cake, even though I wasn't, um, too nice on his big thirtieth birthday!

It was such a fun night!
Oh, but don't go far.......the celebrations are not over yet!!! :-)

Things that make me Smile :-)

My Family!

Bubbs needed to take a family picture to his first day of preschool (per his teacher), and we then realized we hadn't had a pic taken of all of us, since Baby Girl was like a week old. So we thought it was about time. :-)

I love my crazy family!

because I just hafta share....

Our church is just awesome. Plain and simple. :-) We love it there. We've been on a 3 year building campaign that will end next April. (was suppose to end this fall, but they extended it). Anyways, we got a whole new awesome addition, because of our rapid growth in numbers the last few years. So we added lots new classrooms, a new bigger kitchen, a bistro/coffee shop. It's way cool. Anyways, that part is complete now, so then they started working on the old section of the building, to remodel and update it to match the new building.

So they totally redid the whole nursery area (0-5 yrs/pre K). It looks awesome. I'm so excited about it. And now, I get to go thru all the cute little classrooms again, with my Baby Girl!!! :-)

They went with the whole water/sea theme. And the coolest part (which of course, I totally forgot to take a pic of) is the new saltwater aquarium they put in with lots of fish in it. I will have to take a picture and show you. I love it. Anyways........the big "grand opening" for the new nursery was Friday night, so today was the first official Sunday in our new rooms. And I happen to have nursery duty tonight, so I had to snap a few pics..... :-)

Above: this is the entrance - telling you which way to go to which rooms...

There are 6 classrooms and 1 play room

Above: This was Bubby's room tonight. On Sunday nights, they put the 3s, 4s and 5s together. Can you find my Bubbs?

On Sunday mornings, Bubb's goes in the "Dolphins" room :-)

Baby Girl is an "angel fish" :-)

Here is Miss Gwen holding Baby Girl....she was the only infant tonight, so she got her full attention :-)

HUGE infant room........
i love it!

another class....

Hope ya'll had a great weekend!
Here's to another great week!!!

Mohawk Baby

My little mohawk baby.........
Poor little Baby Girl was born with a head full of dark hair.....now all that's left is a mohawk on top! How many times have I passed by someone, and they smiled at her and said "love the mohawk". :-)
Yes. I am one proud mama.
....and here is little mohawk baby....trying out her little johnny jumper for the first time :-)

one little, two little, three little cavities...

Ok, so I'm not "the best" mom in the world {no surprise there}.....my daughter has cavities. Not just one or two, mind you. A whole mouth full of 'em. She had her 6 month check up yesterday. I got a slight slap on the wrist (figuratively speaking) from the dentist. I shall no longer let Sis brush her teeth by herself. I shall from here on out, supervise all tooth brushing activities. I shall promise to tie her down while she screams bloody murder while I attempt to floss her teeth to floss her teeth every night before bed. I shall bring her back in a few weeks to get work done on the cavitites, well, some of them at least. I shall empty my pocket book and spend $1000 worth of work on my daughters teeth and gums do my best to help my daughter take better care of her teeth.

Sheesh.

Ok, so for kiddo #1, I have officially lost my "mom of the year" award. Maybe I can redeem myself with kiddos #2 or #3. Ha!

On the upside, a year from now, Sissy will have the most beautiful, shiny, white, clean, expensive teeth in her whole school. :-)
