Show us where you live Friday.....on Monday :)

Got the idea from my friend, Mrs Nurse Boy, who got it from Kelly, who is hosting "Show Us Where You Live Friday". Ok, so I'm 3 days late. But better late than never, right? So.......here is my "Show Us Where You Live Monday" :)

Today....it is the kitchen :)



I love my kitchen. Fell in love with it when we bought the house almost 4 years ago. It's so open and inviting. (hm. now that I think about it.....maybe that could be the fault for my widening hips? gotta blame something, right?)

Here is my kitchen, from the kitchen table....

The door you see to the left goes in to the main floor bathroom. Opposite wall of that is my pantry. Sorry, couldn't get a good picture of that.

I didn't know if I'd like having black appliances at first, but I really do like them now. It's hard to tell in the pics, but above the cabinets, I have greenery weaved between my mickey mouse and Disney snow globes. Yes, I have a Mickey Mouse kitchen. It's subtle though......it's not overly loud and annoying, right? :) And those are Mickey plates above the window.

And yes, that is Chewy's water and food dish on the floor. :0)

Probably my favorite part of my kitchen is the cabinets. LOVE the color of the cabinets.

And this is my hutch, or whatever you want to call it. Not really sure it's 'official' name. It just sits off to the side of my kitchen and holds some "prettys", such as wedding photos, and my wedding cake topper (top shelf), some extra mickey mouse cannisters and more snow globes and figurines. Along with, on the shelf, our phone, some candles, and a plate/cup holder, (of mickey mouse...of course) :0)

A bonus of having this, is it also brings extra storage underneath, which is where I store our rice cooker, crockpots, blenders, dishes and other stuff that is not used on a daily basis.

And here is our 'eat-in kitchen' area. Love the area and all the daylight the windows bring in to the house. Love our kitchen table set too....that was a garage sale find several years ago. Love it. Oh, and of course, there's Chewy.
