I was watching the local news station doing a piece on an 84 year old lady, because she had just gotten married-- for the fourth time. The reporter was asking her all kinds of questions. He had asked about her about her life, and what it felt like marrying again at age 84. This led to the reporter asking about her husband, and his occupation.
"He's a funeral director" she said in her frail aging voice. This led the reporter to asking her about her previous three husbands. She said that when she was in her twenties, her first husband was a banker, and talked about various aspects of her life in the 1940's. Then, in the 1960's she was married to a circus ringmaster, and traveled across the country.
Sometime in the 1980's she married yet again, this time to a preacher. It was quite an interesting piece. I was astonished at this ladies life, and her story. Apparently, the reporter was too, and found it odd she had married such different men. He asked her something like "why did you marry such diverse men?" It was funny, cause I never thought anything about it. I was stuck on the four marriages, not their careers. I thought, why would he ask that?
Apparently it was a set-up, just like this blog post, because she replied..."I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go!"
