I was out shopping at Target yesterday when I got a call from Jeremy at work with some (bad) news......they were having problems at the job site in Chicago, so they were sending Jeremy there at the last minute. I hate last minute, unplanned work trips. I really don't like it when he has to travel at all, but when their unplanned, and they catch me off guard, and I have to rearrange our schedules- those are really annoying. Thankfully we didn't have a whole lot going on - other than church last night. And at least he'll be home before the big bang of fireworks tomorrow night. His flight gets in mid afternoon tomorrow. So it's a short trip.
Church was good last night. It was the first Wednesday in July, which meant the beginning of MPact's July Outreach month. We had quite a few girls- from Daisies to Friends all together, doing lessons, games, snacks ect. I enjoy the July outreach, as it also gives us sponsors a break if we need one. (for those unaware, or new to my blogs, I teach the Prims girls at our church on Wednesdays. They are 1st and 2nd grade girls in the MPact program- formally Missionettes, if you are A/G) Anyways, I really enjoy it, and like spending time with "my girls" on Wednesdays. Their a lot of fun.
The kids and I all slept in today. Some of you know we have been painting Isaiah's room the last several days. Thankfully we just got in done in time, before Jer headed to Chicago. So the last several nights both kids have been sleeping in Lilly's room, while Isaiah's room is "under construction". They were able to sleep in their own rooms last night, and I think they enjoyed that, as Lilly didn't wake up until 10:00 and Isaiah finally woke up (with our prodding) at 10:45! After we all got up and around, we met my friend Brandi up at Wal Mart, (where we got some amazing scrapbooking bargains, by the way!), then went and grabbed lunch at Sonic and took it to the park, where we stayed for about 3 1/2 hours. The kids and I have been hanging out at home the rest of the afternoon/evening.......you know, the usual, playing outside and getting all dirty then coming in for a bath.....our summer ritual! :)
